Admission Rules

- Failed/Compartment students from other institutions will not ordinarily be admitted.
- A failed student who re-joins the as a regular student will be permitted to appear in the University/Board Examination as a regular student only if he fulfils the eligibility conditions in the year of re-joining.
- Stagnant cases/candidates with a gap in their studies will not ordinarily be admitted. However, the gap may be condoned in the case of a student who for example had been on the rolls of this college during the previous academic session, paid all dues but could not appear in the University/Board Examination or had been detained.
- Students selected for admission are required to deposit fees and other dues ON THE SPOT failing which they may have to forego their right to admission.
- Change of faculty or subject may be allowed strictly in accordance with University/Board rules.
- A candidate whose result is declared late by the Punjab University may join the college within 10 days of the declaration of his/her result.
- If a result of re-evaluation a candidate passes an examination or becomes eligible for the supplementary examination, he/she shall be eligible to seek admission to the next higher class within 10 working days of declaration of his/her result.
- One attested copy of the University/Board certificate of the Examination passed.
- Original University/Board certificate.
- Character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
- Caste Certificate from the S.D.M or class I Magistrate (for Scheduled Caste students only).
- Migration and original certificate of the Examination passed in the case of students coming from University/Board other than Punjab.
- Students coming from Foreign countries must supply particulars of their passport, long term students Visa from Home Ministry and Eligibility Certificate from the Punjab University.
- Admission to all classes is subject to the approval of Punjab University/P.S.E.B.
- Fine for absence without leave is
- For one period 50paisa
- For one Practical Rs.1.
- For one Period composition Rs.1.
- For one Tutorial Rs.1.
- The name of a student who absents himself/herself for continuous period of seven days, without leave, shall be struck off the college rolls. He/She can seek re-admission after paying the arrears, re-admission fee and re-registration fee etc.
- In case of any contradiction in the rules given in the prospectus with the University/Board rules, the latter shall have the over-riding effect.
