The Commerce Department at A.S. Activities of P.G. Department of Commerce for the Session 2024-2025

1. The Department of Commerce organized a General Assembly and an Extension Lecture on the Teachings of Swami Vivekanand Ji for the students of B.Com I &M.Com I on 12 th August 2024.

2. P.G. Department of Commerce organized a Book Fair held on 13 th August 2024. The event, which took place in the commerce block on the college campus, brought together students, faculty and community members in a celebration of accounting, law, literature, learning & Cultural Exchange.

3. The Department of Commerce initiated UGC NET exam coaching for M.Com students, beginning in the 2nd week of August, with sessions conducted on a weekly basis.

4. P.G. Department of Commerce celebrated world entrepreneurship day on 22nd August 2024. On this occasion Case studies Presentation and Poster-making competitions were held.

5. P.G. Department of Commerce celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2024 with great enthusiasm. The event honored educators for their dedication and contributions.

6. The Postgraduate Department of Commerce organized a special session for B.Com III and M.Com II students to enhance their interview preparation skills on 15th September 2024.

7. The department signed up MOU with Bajaj Finserv Ltd. and Launched a 4th batch of Certified Programme in Banking, Finance & Insurance on 20th September 2024.

8. P.G. Department of Commerce recognized and honored 13 students for successfully qualifying the CA Foundation Examination on 5th November 2024.

9. P.G.Department of commerce organised a career counselling webinar in collaboration with Plutus Education on 16th November 2024.

10. The Postgraduate Department of Commerce has organized a Logo Making Competition 30th January 2025. This competition aims to enhance creativity, brand awareness, and design skills, which are essential for commerce students in fields such as marketing, entrepreneurship, and corporate branding.

(2) The department organised an Online Interface with the 12th standard students regarding “Career Options & Admissions Procedure” on 30th June & 6th July 2021.

(3) The department organised an Online Interface with B.Com Final Year students regarding “Career Options & Admissions Procedure” on 10th August 2021

(4) The department organised an Online Webinar on the theme of “Fitness Mantra for Holistic Health” on 30th August 2021.

(5) The department organized One day Extension Lecture on the topic “Afghanistan Crisis” on 4th September 2021 .

(6) The department signed up MOU with Bajaj Finserv Ltd. and Launched a Certified Programme in Banking, Finance & Insurance on 6th September 2021.

(7) The department provided Guidance for UGC NET exam to M.Com students starting from September 2nd Week on weekly basis

(8) The department organized an Online webinar on the topic “Financial Awareness & Consumer training (FACT)” Programme on 13th October 2021.

(9) The department organized an Inter Class Quiz Competition on “Goods & Service Tax” for B.Com 2nd Year Students on 17th October 2021.

(10) The department organized an Awareness Campaign on the theme of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” on 31st October 2021.

 (11) The department organized an online Webinar on the topic of “Financial Literary” on 24th November 2021

(12) The department organized workshop cum seminar on the topic “Banking Insurance & Finance” with the collaboration of Finserv Ltd. on 5thApril 2022. On this occasion the certificates were given to the students on the successful completion of course. (13) The department organized an Exhibition on the topic Advertising Campaign on international world health day on 9th April 2022.

(14) One day educational trip was organized by the department of Commerce for the student of M.com I, II & B.com III on 24th April 2022. The student visited kasauli & trip was thrilling experience for the students

(15) Management, Principal, Faculty and students of department of Commerce jointly planted a Gulmohar tree in the memory of commerce student Late Robinveer singh, who died in an accident on 31st May 2022
