1. ABOUT THE POLICY
The Code of Conduct is a document approved by the College Governing Body and) that contains the principles and commitments undertaken by all the employee working in an organization as a whole. It is a document containing approved Rules and Regulations to be followed by employees. The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to state to all employees of the Organization to adhering to ethical principles under all circumstances. All employees are required to read the Code and to conduct themselves in accordance with the principles stated herein. Employees are also required to report any violations of this Code to the relevant person or authorities.

Our Code of Conduct sets forth our core values, shared responsibilities, commitments and promises to be followed by the employees for imparting quality education and shaping the future of our Students.
3. MISSION
'To Serve the Society by Serving Students'
Code of Conduct for employees provides general guidance and helps the authorities and fulfils the Management expectations, highlights situations that may require particular attention. It is also the first step to get clarity on any issue/queries relating to ethical conduct of employees in the College.
4. OBJECTIVES OF CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY
Our College is one of the oldest college in the vicinity and it is the first Choice of local students to join this College in different streams. With a view to maintain its glory, the college management and authorities are anxious to meet the challenges ahead to compete with other institutions and to retain its traditional values and ethics. Keeping this aspect in mind, this code of Conduct Policy for employees is formulated and implemented in totality, to promote good standard of conduct and behavior among the staff members. Further, the authorities expects that all the staff members should be aware with the fundamentals of this policy, like their duties, responsibilities, purpose, ethics at work place, appropriate conduct and the disciplinary actions to be faced for the breach of this code of conduct policy.
5. STRATEGIES AND ACTION PLANS
The College Management expects the following Code of Conduct from its employees that:
All the College Employees has to:
- Be courteous with students, colleagues and visitors of the college.
- Follow the rules and procedures of the college as laid down by the Punjab Government, College Management and Principal.
- Be sincere in their duty and put efforts to promote the reputation of the college.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of all College information and avoid sharing of any information or documents with outsiders or use the College documents for personal use without the consent of authorities.
- Take reasonable steps to curb any activities of discrimination with students and colleagues.
- Participate in the training and development programs that contribute to the prosperity of the college.
- Be careful in their dressing, language and behavior with students.
- Be punctual and prompt and make best use of working hours in the interest of College and Students.
- Be vigilant over any misuse of the college infrastructure either by the students, outsiders or by any other person.
- It is the teacher responsibility to maintain the attendance registers.
- Taking attendance should be completed within five minutes of each class.
- Failure to maintain a register will result in action under the staff code of conduct.
- Teachers Associations should not be formed without the permission of the Management/College Principal.
- No teacher should involve himself or herself in any form of political activity inside or outside the campus.
- Teachers should attend the College neatly dressed, and wear formal leather shoes. Jeans pant & T-Shirts are prohibited.
- Teachers should not participate in any strikes or demonstrations either inside or outside the campus without the permission of Principal/Management.
- Any instructions issued by the Competent Authority by way of Circulars from time to time must be complied with.
- No teacher shall send circulars/distribute handbills to the staff, organize meetings in the campus without permission from the Principal.
- Teachers must always wear/keep their identity badges while inside the college premises.
Professional Relationships of Employees:
- The college strives to provide learning friendly atmosphere and to maintain good rapport between the faculty and the students.
- Employee must be aware of their professional boundaries.
- They should never get themselves involved in the activities that are against the ethics of their profession or deteriorate the college image.
- Employee should not promote tuition culture in their classes or in College campus.
- The staff should also avoid giving much indulgence to the students which has detrimental impact on both of them.
- An employee conduct in his/her private life affects the reputation of the college. Any offensive activity that is against the approved societal norms should not be carried out.
- Employees must evade accepting any gifts or personal benefits that compel them to make compromises in their duty.
6. MONITORING AUTHORITY
The monitoring authority of the non-teaching staff of A.S. College is DPI, Panjab University, College Principal and Governing Body/Management of the College. The College management evaluates the performance of the college policies regularly and adopts Zero Tolerance at levels.
